Ásmundarsalur on the go
Shu Yi, Þórdís Erla Zoëga
Ásmundarsalur travels the city with Art On the Go, a mobile exhibition space featuring an immersive installation by Þórdís Erla Zoëga and Shu Yi. This transformed container will visit four different locations around the city where guests can step in for a moment of tranquil exploration, reflection and heightened awareness.
Inspired by their shared interest in exploring our perception of space, the artists aim to create an exhibition that merges aesthetic visions and cultural narratives, giving birth to a dynamic conversation between East and West. Breaking physical boundaries, Hringferð transforms the visitor into an integral part of the experience.
Þórdís Erla Zoëga (1988) is an Icelandic artist who has exhibited widely in Iceland and Europe. Her practice is driven by material research and investigation of digital intimacy, post-humanism, science fiction and connection. Shu Yi (1986) is a Chinese-born visual artist based in Reykjavik who works primarily with analogue photography and algorithmic art. Having studied and worked in Beijing, London, and Reykjavik, Shu Yi delves into the multifaceted landscape of dynamic temporal experiences.
