The most important meal of the day is a fun and tasty-looking series where all Icelanders should find something to their liking.

Hafdís graduated from Leeds Arts University with a BA degree in fashion photography in 2021, but lately, she has been focusing on her paintings.

The paintings are colourful like Hafdís, and most are painted on unusual forms of canvases. Along with colourful backgrounds and tasty-looking food, are cartoon characters and their interaction and the landscape of the food that makes it surreal.

It's interesting to see how the characters interact with the food and seeing how it all ties together.The idea of the series is based on Hafdís´ ideas and feelings that one feels when they eat good food. The cartoon characters represent that almost childish longing for good food.

Exhibition opening is June 20th from 18:00-20:00 and all are welcome!
