Gerður Guðmundsdóttir opens the exhibition "From one to another" at SÍM Gallery, Hafnarstræti 16 on Thursday, May 30 from 5-7 PM.

Gerður Guðmundsdóttir graduated from the textile department at the Icelandic School of Art and Handicrafts in 1991. She works independently as an artist and has had exhibitions in Iceland, Denmark, USA, France, Turkey, Germany, Finland, Lithuania, and South Korea.

The exhibition From one to another is made from old books, wool, wire, and linen. Pages from the books are varnished and sewn together with linen thread. Balls felt from wool and balls kneaded from wet pages, flowers cut out of varnished paper.
