Welcome to a multilingual art workshop that brings together cultures through the Palestinian embroidery tradition tatreez. The instructor is Oroob AbuShawareb.
The Palestinian embroidery tradition tatreez is a vibrant and centuries old tradition and was recognized by UNESCO as an important intangible cultural heritage. The tradition is characterized by diverse and colorful patterns, embroidered on clothing, accessories and all kinds of home decoration and has played an important role in the Palestinian freedom struggle for decades.
Here you have the opportunity to get to know this remarkable tradition and try out different patterns.
The workshop is open to all ages, but its projects are best suited for families with children over 6 years old. You can stop by at any time and stay as long as suits you. Children are expected to be accompanied by an adult.
In collaboration with the aid organization GETA. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
