The role of the Visual Arts Fund is to award project grants in the field of visual arts and art research. Application deadlines are twice a year, in February and August.

The Visual Arts Fund

The Icelandic Art Center awards travel grants to Icelandic or Iceland based visual artists. The grants are intended for travel, accommodation and related costs and are awarded for exhibitions, projects and residences abroad.

Our grants support exhibitions, publications, and research through the Visual Arts Fund and travel outside Iceland through travel grants.
