International Studio & Curator Program
The International Studio & Curatorial Program, based in New York, provides a three-month residency for Icelandic artists and curators.
The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) includes 24-hour access to a private furnished studio space; regular studio visits from Visiting Critics; Field Trips to museums, galleries, and other cultural venues; and participation in Artist Talks. Residents become part of a growing network of international artists and curators who are ISCP alumni. An ISCP residency has often led to critical advancement in the practice of the artist and curators in residenceThe grant covers the residency fees, however the applicant must fund his own living costs. The residency is sponsored by the Visual Art Council.
Instructions
Make sure to attach the following supporting materials in your application:
- Work samples: this should include 10 images or video links with a caption (title, date, medium, and dimensions/duration for each work) and a description of each work.
- Curriculum vitae: 5 pages max.
- Scanned copies of 2 – 3 reviews (if applicable): max 10 pages.
- Scanned copies of 2 – 3 catalogs (if applicable): pages that feature your work only.
- Reference letter.
Evaluation process
A short list of applicants will be selected by the Visual Art Council and then the final selection will be in the hands of ISCP.
