Sláturhúsið Art Center serves as the regional center for performing arts and as such we are inspired every day to create, share, teach, excite, and perform. A residency program for performing artists is located in Sláturhúsið with access to a dance studio and Black Box performing space. Sláturhúsið is also a space for contemporary visual arts, curating exhibitions by Icelandic visual artists as well as international artists. The Polish Art Festival Vor / Wiosna takes place in Sláturhúsið every year from April to May.
